Lovington Lodge will be installing our 2012 officers on Thursday, December 15 at 7:00 p.m.  We will open Lodge, but will call to refreshment and hold an open installation so that our famileis and friends, potential members and others can attend.  Most Worshipful Bobby Arther, Grand Master of New Mexico Masons has accepted our invitation and will be our installing officer. 

We invite anyone interested in Masonry, or in becoming a Mason to join us on the 15th.  We also invite fellow Masons from neighboring Lodges to join us, and encourage all of our members to take part in this meeting and installation which will be the kickoff to our 2012 Masonic year, which will mark the 100th year anniversary of Lovington Lodge.  This, incidentally, corresponds to the Centennial Celebration of New Mexico statehood.

Past Master's Night

Lovington Lodge will be celebrating our annual Past Master's Night on Thursday, October 20 at our regular stated meeting time.  A meal will be provided prior to the evening's events.

Special recognition of our past Masters, visiting past Masters from other Lodges, and a tribute to our Masonic widows will be a part of the program.  In addition, we will remember those of us who have passed from this world to the House Not Made With Hands eternal in the hevens.

We invite visitors to attend this event and to learn more about Free Masonry.

We had a really exciting stated meeting last night!  One of the biggest highlights occurred when called to refreshment.  We were treated to a birthday celebration for Brother A.G. Lewis who turned 87 yesterday.  A new addition to the Lewis extended family was born yesterday.  What better gift!

We also were pleased to observe the reinstatement of  "long lost" Brother Larry Clark.  In addition we made plans for a Master's Degree and an EA.  More details will be forthcoming.  We also discussed and made plans for the official visit of Most Worshipful Grand Master Bobby Arther, who will be with us at our next stated meeting on the 21st.  We will be serving dinner prior to the meeting.  It is always great to have Bro. Arther visiting, but more especially as MW Grand Master!
